We see endless possibilities

As a part of the Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV), NMB believes in the three
bottom line approach – of people, planet and prosperity. The bank is focused on the need to
measure progress in terms of people and their livelihoods it affects and its overall impact on
building a sustainable planet. This is the main driving force behind the bank’s present “we
see endless possibilities” brand campaign. Through this campaign, the bank’s focus is to
bring these positive opportunities to the fore and help build quality and lasting relationships.

In line with its core values, NMB bank has been promoting entrepreneurship amongst
women in agriculture & livestock sector and micro-level enterprises to generate employment
opportunity in rural as well as urban areas. NMB Bank offers easy financing with interest
subsidy on loan without real estate collateral. With about 51% female population in the
country, the importance of financially uplifting women cannot be sidelined for the growth of
an entire economy.

NMB Bank has one of the highest sector-wise investments in alternative energy in Nepal and
is leveraging its resources in a sustainable manner. The bank has also entered a Power
Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Saral Urja Nepal wherein 70% of the total electricity
consumption in its headquarters in Babarmahal, Kathmandu is fueled from solar power.

The Bank has prioritized agriculture lending and has been creating programs to simplify loan
procedures for small farmers, small/medium food processing units, shops, and trading units
dealing in agricultural produce. NMB bank has been making efforts to fill fund accessibility
gaps in deprived areas by continually expanding its reach in rural municipalities while
introducing new products to cater to the masses.

With overseas remittance contributing to more than 28% of the economy, the returning
Nepalese migrant workers not only bring in the capital but also a required skill set to serve
their local community. NMB provides migrants with the opportunity to set up a venture in Nepal
through its returnee migrant deposit product wherein the migrants can avail up to 3 times
their savings. Doing so, the bank not only encourages capital building but also contributes to
the quality of life of the returnee migrants.

We will put more light on these new and encouraging ideas/products on our upcoming blog.
